Welcome to Room 2 for 2010.

This blog has been set up as a showcase for our work this year.
It is a good way to connect school and home, to share what we have been doing in class.

Senior Camp 2010

In December Rooms 1, 2, 3 and 14 went to Finlay Park for our camp. We had an awesome time and did lots of amazing activities. Scroll down to view our movie and pictures.

Our Music Concert

What we played and what we liked best…
What I loved about our 2010 Music Concert I that I had so much fun. I thought it was going to be so hard but it was over in like 30 seconds. I played the guitar and with Sonya and Nikita it was so fun. From Eden

What I love about the concert was I had fun playing the glockenspiel to the song we played with my friend. from Cheyanne

I really enjoyed playing the xylophone in the concert and it sounded really good but it was over in about 40 seconds. Blake

I played the Glockenspiel which is like the best thing that I want to do all the time. The best thing I liked was that Room 2 played Amazing Grace. By Lala.

I played Recorder. It was the best. I loved Room2s Amazing Grace. I was so happy with myself. By Sherin

I played recorder, it was amazing and I’m really proud of myself but hopefully next time I will be better. Natasha

Senior Swimming Sports

Early in March the senior team had their swimming sports at Otumoetai Pools. We walked down and spent the morning swimming in lots of different races, finishing with a class relay. Check out these pictures.

"Hatchet" by Gary Paulsen

We read the novel "Hatchet" by Gary Paulsen and as part of our contract we created some shelters that might have looked like the one that Brian had made. We were only allowed to use rocks, stones, sand, dirt, sticks and twigs - things that Brian would have used. Have a look at some of our creations.

Walk to School - Funky Hat Day

In Term 1 we had a Walk to School Day - the theme for this year was "Funky Hats". We all had to create a funky hat to wear to school. We all met in different locations on the way to school and walked to school from these. At school we had a "Funky Hat Parade" to start our day. Take a look at our creations.
